UK airport announces new route to pretty European city as KLM airline expands | United Kingdom | News
A British airport has announced it will offer flights to a beautiful European city often visited by Brits.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is set to connect the West Country to Amsterdam and beyond by launching its first ever flights from Exeter Airport to the international aviation hub at Schiphol.
People will be able to travel from the end of March next year.
This is the first time Exeter Airport has served Amsterdam in almost five years.
It is also the first time KLM has operated from Devon Airport, with the aim of “looking to expand its regional presence in the UK”.
Officials highlighted that the move connects Exeter Airport to KLM’s network of global destinations via Amsterdam.
Flights from Exeter Airport to Amsterdam with KLM are currently on sale.
Flight duration is approximately 90 minutes with departures from Amsterdam to Exeter at 4:15 p.m. local time and from Exeter to Amsterdam at 5:20 p.m. local time. These are seven days a week.
The services will be operated by KLM Cityhopper from March 30, 2025.
They will use an 88-seat Embraer 175 regional jet. The customer will have the opportunity to choose between Economy and Business class, as well as Premium Comfort class (Premium Economy) on long-haul intercontinental flights.

“Flights will operate every day of the week, providing a fantastic gateway for business and leisure travelers from their local airport.”
