Prince William will take Kate Middleton to a romantic beach in the UK | Royal | News
Prince William is reportedly planning to take Princess Kate to a romantic vacation spot in the southwest of the United Kingdom.
2024 has been a tumultuous year for the Prince and Princess of Wales after the latter was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and the former’s father also received treatment for the illness.
As a result, this year’s Christmas is more special than ever as royal couple William and Kate cherish what they have with those they love.
A source told Bella that William “wants to make memories with Kate and so is planning a romantic getaway to the Isles of Scilly – one of their favorite places to get away and spend some quiet time together.”
The insider’s comments come as William comes to the end of a hectic 2024 that saw him immerse himself in his charity work, while caring for Kate, King Charles and meeting President-elect Donald Trump.
Revealing more of William’s plans for Kate this Christmas, the source said: “Kate’s family will also be a big part of the celebrations.
“They always are, but this year William is coordinating with them so Kate has her whole family with her for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.”
This year’s Christmas plans and rumored 2025 romantic getaway to the Isles of Scilly – just off the Cornish coast – come as Kate continues to recover from her cancer treatment.
William’s romantic getaway is an archipelago in the Celtic Sea with a population of just 2,203. However, this number increases slightly when William and Kate arrive and visit their holiday home owned by the Duchy of Cornwall.
The four-bedroom property, known as Tamarisk House, is on the largest of the Isles of Scilly, St Mary’s, and can even be rented to the public, reports the Mirror.
Describing St Mary’s, the Isles of Scilly tourism website says: “St. Mary’s is a haven of peace and hidden treasures. The coastline features vast stretches of deserted white sand beaches, spectacular rocky coves, stunning seascapes, amazing archaeological sites, beautiful walks and scenery along miles of coastal and rural paths and nature trails.
The beaches of the Isles of Scilly have already been compared to those found in the Caribbean.
Away from the Isles of Scilly, William traveled the world carrying out charitable and diplomatic tasks. Most recently, he was photographed meeting with Donald Trump after Notre Dame reopened.
Although Kensington Palace has not commented on the conversation between the two men, Trump told the New York Post: “He looked really, really handsome last night.” Some people are more beautiful in person. He looked great. He seemed really nice and I told him so.
While Trump has openly expressed his admiration for the UK royal family in the past, including the late Queen Elizabeth II, others have warned he may be less lenient towards US-based Prince Harry .
Speaking to the Express, Clacton MP and Reform Party leader Nigel Farage warned that Harry’s admission about his past drug use could come back.
He said: “A lot depends on the drug, if the Trump administration insisted on asking: ‘Was his visa granted based on untruths?’ That would be very interesting.
