POLL: Should Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the UK? | United Kingdom | News

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make headlines again following a German documentary about the couple, royal watchers may be wondering whether the couple might be better off returning to the UK.

The show – titled “Harry – The Lost Prince” – aired on German channel ZDF on Tuesday and looked in more detail at the royal couple’s lives.

Throughout the documentary, which primarily focused on the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since leaving the royal family in 2020, the couple received criticism from those who claim to know them.

That included a comment from one of their neighbors in Montecito and a harsh remark from a veteran who knew Prince Harry in Afghanistan.

One of the biggest surprises was the fact that Meghan, 43, hasn’t gotten involved in the Montecito community, despite living there for four years.

The duchess, who has previously spoken about the importance of communities, would not venture outside much, according to a neighbor, who also mentioned that living in the area “is not cheap.”

Richard Mineards, one of the couple’s neighbors, said: “Personally, I don’t think Meghan is an asset to our community… She doesn’t really go out and get involved in the community.”

“Harry does, to a certain extent, because he’s quite cheerful… but Meghan doesn’t seem to be seen anywhere… And you don’t see him either.”

The couple have lived in the area since 2020 with their children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three – but do you think the couple should stay there? You can take our survey or use the link below.

Prince Harry was also criticized in the documentary by a fellow veteran who shared a flight home from Afghanistan with the Duke in 2008.

Online mail reported that veteran soldier Ben McBean, who lost his left arm and had his right leg amputated above the knee after being seriously injured by a landmine explosion, thinks the prince should simply ” leave aside” when it comes to denigrating one’s family.

Another revelation in the documentary is the fact that the Duke is unhappy with “Megxit” because he was unable to leave on his terms. On the show, royal biographer Angela Levin said the prince “didn’t get exactly what he wanted” because he wanted to be half in the royal family and half out.

More recently, rumors swirled that the two were having a blast in a hole in Portugal, which is much closer to Harry’s original home. But would the British welcome them back if they decided to move?
