Two teens, including 9-months pregnant girl, struck by lightning in Indiana

A nine-months pregnant teenager and an 18-year-old man were hospitalized Friday night after the tent they were staying in was struck by lightning, Indiana authorities said.

The unidentified victims were inside their tent at the rear of their home in Country Squire Lakes, Indiana, when the lightning struck, the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.

First responders took the couple to the hospital where they were diagnosed in serious but stable condition.

“We have received reports that the baby is also doing well,” the sheriff’s office said.

The victims’ relationships were not immediately known.
