An Anglesey man has admitted possessing extreme pornography involving sex acts with a turtle.

James Owen, 30, of Llanfechell, also pleaded guilty to making an indecent image of a child in the most serious category of child sexual abuse, BBC News reports.

Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court heard that a Metropolitan Police investigation into another individual led officers to Owen, who had been issued with a Category A child abuse photograph.

Owen’s electronic devices were seized from his home, with authorities finding four photos and 24 videos of a person having sex with a live animal, the outlet reported.

Owen must now register with police as a sex offender after being released on bail.

He is due to be sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court next month.
